Do we mean passing netty bytebuf from hbase to hdfs in the above? We will want
to go both ways -- out and in.
The list of netty(5) benefits are long as Andrew notes so even if we skirt
ByteBuf -- no reuse probably simplifies implementation would be my guess --
this ticket is worthwhile.
