This is fantastic. Thanks for putting this together.
There are a couple of issues with the documentation, however:
# The list of Observer types should include RegionServerObserver (added in
HBASE-7331). While this only exposes a single hook, it should be there for
completeness.
# The description of endpoints, in particular the sample code referenced, is
only correct up to HBase 0.94.x. In HBase 0.96+, the way that endpoints are
exposed has been changed to use protobuf services. See HBASE-5448 for details.
Unfortunately that will mean amending most of the sample code for the PB
service based approach and some modification to the descriptions.
