New patch, includes HBASE-11185 as suggested by [~apurtell], also includes
refactored InputSplit() method (missing from HBASE-11137) that fixes the issue
that [~mbertozzi] noticed. It should be clear that this patch reverts
HBASE-11360 in order to support HBASE-7987 in the 0.98 branch.
