I filed HBASE-12566 a few minutes ago now that we're aware the audience
annotation on HRegion doesn't reflect what Phoenix is doing. Setting aside the
question if they should have depended on this method or not, every breaking
change like this limits what HBase versions a Phoenix release can support. It
would be a big help if we could help them ride over this change, with a
backwards compatible method or similar.
