Description: I wrote an alternative registry and connection manager which
does not use zookeeper. However the shell still wants to connect to zookeeper
NO MATTER WHAT. I can see it for supporting zk_dump but, for some reason even
though the shell commands succeed, I get errors scrolling about why it can't
attach to zookeeper
