Suggest choosing a style that is more plain, 'spacelab', or 'flatly'. I think
if you let version and published go left, the gray bar under them will get
fatter and fit them better (least I had same problem over on
http://htrace.incubator.apache.org/ where I followed your lead here and letting
them go left seemed to 'fix' the background thing). We can figure how to get
the search back later. Looks great.
