Lets try it [~manukranthk]. Patch looks good. Thank you for taking a looksee.
I'll leave the issue open a while. Will close later if this seems to have
fixed it. Would be interesting if 1.0 branch is doing something dumb populating
its local region map. Pushed to branch-1 and branch-1.0.
