Want to update your thread on dev list [~jurmous] with status?
I intend to commit this to master branch. Any objections? [~nkeywal] what you
reckon? [~eclark], you like this kinda stuff.
For branch-1, we should probably have it off by default. I'll commit a version
that does that and then we can make case for enabling it in branch-1 when async
facillity that needs it shows up.
