I have converted the test to be an IT instead in the hopes that we can get it
in and running at least. It has already been useful in analyzing the patches
for the parent.
I've also made some changes and added a big payload to the RPCs (2MB) to
simulate the write + close deadlock better. However, now I am running into
timeouts in master code. I was testing with branch-1.1 which was ok, but it is
failing in master now. I have to inspect the thread dump to see what is
happening.
