We should be good with this:
* The API already exists and it is not working :(
* This is a truly optional flag (and I'll use the same index in all branches)
* old servers will not understand that flag and use the default (same behavior)
* old client will not send the flag, server will use the default (same behavior)
* new client and with new server, will support the API that we had already said
would work
* (I don't think anybody would call renewLease and then consider it a bug if
the lease is actually renewed)
I'll make sure 0.98 patch to use the same index as master, and then I'll
propose this to get committed.
