If "archetypes" needs to be added to the [components
list|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE/?selectedTab=com.atlassian.jira.jira-projects-plugin:components-panel],
feel free to put me down as the "owner"; or if it fits under one of the
existing component categories, then an update of the description of that
component would probably be in order.
Is there any timeframe on the 1.3 release? I will look into back-porting this
item to 1.3 first (making sure there are no unanticipated "gotchas" there)
before moving on to the other archetype subtasks (shaded-client, mapreduce,
etc.).
