It's only supported as of HBase 1.2, it's listed as Not Tested before that.
Presuming that HBase 1.0 is the minimum requirement for the snapshot command, I
think your phrasing is okay. I would update the Hadoop requirement to Hadoop
2.6.1+, since we expressly don't support Hadoop 2.6.0. Probably also pointing
folks to the prerequisites table on Hadoop there, so they're aware of the
testing situation between HBase x Hadoop versions.
