I see Admin is marked

... so some leeway here.
The changes will make it so a 1.2 client will not be able to get the state of a
compaction nor do a snapshot using a snapshot description (they will be able to
do a snapshot using table name) nor run a snapshot async, or list snapshots.
I'd be fine with that. Needs to be in release notes as incompatible change.
