This is running with 1.1.2 code base, but it has almost all of the
metrics-related patches from branch-1 in. Looking at the code, I think this
will happen in master as well. We initialize the min with Long.MAX_VALUE. If no
metric gets emitted after a reset(), then min will be emitted like this.
