ramkrishna.s.vasudevan commented on HBASE-4855:
-----------------------------------------------
I got 2 different cases
Case 1:
batch.installed = 4
batch.done = 2, batch.error =0.
Case 2:
batch.installed = 2
batch.done = 1, batch.error =0.
{code}
while ((batch.done + batch.error) != batch.installed) {
{code}
This condition was always true. I will dig in more and let you know
> SplitLogManager hangs on cluster restart.

>
> Start a master and RS
> RS goes down (kill -9)
> Wait for ServerShutDownHandler to create the splitlog nodes. As no RS is
> there it cannot be processed.
> Restart both master and bring up an RS.
> The master hangs in SplitLogManager.waitforTasks().
> I feel that batch.done is not getting incremented properly. Not yet digged
> in fully.
> This may be the reason for occasional failure of
> TestDistributedLogSplitting.testWorkerAbort().
