Hi [~misty],
I'm busy with other doings, so only had a couple of minutes to scroll down and
scan through the revised install-guide text.
One thing that leaped out and caught my eye:
bq. Installing HBase from source provides the most flexibility, and is not
difficult.
I recommend removing the {{and is not difficult}} part.
As a fairly iron-clad rule in my instructional writing (particularly for
children, but also for adults), I strive to avoid adding in editorial comments
regarding how "easy" I think it is to do something. Otherwise, those who do
(for reasons potentially umimaginable and unpredictable) run into difficulties
with some aspect of a task will be potentially encouraged to feel stupid, give
up, and go away.
