Great idea, thanks [~stack]. In the meantime, the user doc is still in flux,
until the next week. We'll publish a stable version next week.
Parts of the doc that deal with the in-memory compaction policy (what
segments/when/how to merge) are subject to experimentation in HBASE-16417, and
will explicitly indicate that. All in all, the goal is to have a self-tuning
policy that takes minimum configuration (if any). Once that task is complete,
we'll re-publish the doc.
