Sean Busbey commented on HBASE-17546: ------------------------------------- I thought function invocation for no-args functions allowed the no-parens version? Is there some version of scala where this isn't allowed? Or is this a matter of "the interpreter allows but the spec says it's no good"? These changes look reasonable. Barring other feedback I'll run verify locally and push it with an updated commit message later today. In future patches, please start the commit message with the JIRA key and a brief summary. In this case I'll probably make it something like "HBASE-17546 update hbase-spark examples to use explicit parens for no-arg function calls." Your other PR for correcting help messages also looked good.
