oof. looks like master might build against 2.8.0 because it has stopped
attempting to build our custom LICENSE/NOTICE files for binary artifacts. same
with branch-1. :(
Mind if I expand this jira to cover this problem, [~lhofhansl], or would you
prefer a new one just in case things are still an issue with Hadoop 2.8.0 after?
