I added the setting of the system property for scalatest. Seems to work now.
Try it [~zghaobac] Thanks for reporting. I pushed addendum like this:
"HBASE-18271 Shade netty Purge mention of netty-all; ADDENDUM for sparktest" on
master and branch-2.
