I used to agree with this sentiment, but this patch is the last in a line of
improvements that gets us to a contribute-to-able test infra that can go
through normal review (because it will do deploys for any given branch). For
example, all the comments on this JIRA have come from [a feature specific
branch build|https://builds.apache.org/job/HBase%20Nightly/job/HBASE-18467/]
that has all the normal bells and whistles of a normal nightly. (still missing
the ability to spin up one of these for a patch, but that's only a bit further
down the road.)
