[~amitkabraiiit], would suggest you look at the hbase-dev mailing list as
there's a discussion going on around this.
There's a big question on the value and usability when intrinsically perform
validation on _every_ backup, but some teasing out of requirements to what
would be a useful addition. Please take a look and chime in as-necessary.
