bq. this patch is for branch-1.2 and branch-1.3, right? try on branch-1.3?
pretty uncomfortable ignoring precommit.
1.2 seems pretty sick, for our stable release. You thinking a 1.2.7 even though
tests are in this state? If so, this patch seems to do no harm. If you want to
put a hold on it all till we figure why 1.2 such a mess, just say.
