This eventually needs to be pushed to each branch. (only branches that have it
will comment.)
I'm more than willing to do that piecemeal as branches get passing nightlies.
so burning down any problems on a branch of one's choosing would help. I think
master will pass once I close out HBASE-19184. should have a patch tonight.
