[~stack] [~balazs.meszaros] - you guys did HBASE-18224 care to take a look at
this? it's a partial revert of that patch.
[~tedyu] [~elserj] - I know you guys have been having issues with running
against hadoop3, is this what you had in mind for a short term fix?
