I'm wondering if it makes sense to use the "stable" Hadoop doc link instead
version "r2.7.3" because eventually HBase will update its dependency on Hadoop.

(stable currently maps to hadoop 2.9.0)

I didn't realize this is the case. Maybe we should add those metrics in Hadoop
code.
