all the undefined method complaints from ruby-lint are just it not
understanding jruby. you can ignore those.
the undefined constants, I think, are it not understanding the main/test split
we have in our ruby files due to maven. Probably fine to ignore that as well,
though it'd be great if someone has an idea how to fix it.
