This won't scale. At 100 nodes the list will be unwieldy. What happens when you
have a cluster of 500? 1000? 2000?
bq. also expose the Read/Write/Total requests per sec information in the
HMaster JMX API.
We could do this, since ClusterStatus information is already available in the
master. Note however that all production deployments should be exporting
metrics to a metrics collection system and database (such as OpenTSDB or
Argus), and when you do this then a simple query of the metrics DB will give
you the same information.
