saw the notices for gitbox repos for these. was that intentional? being in
gitbox instead of the standard ASF infra means we'll be able to directly merge
PRs and close PRs/issues from the github interface, but that encourages a very
different workflow from what we do in the rest of the project. I worry about
having to maintain multiple guides on "how to contribute" when we're behind on
maintaining the one we have.
