Yes, my apologies for picking back the patch prematurely. This issue is no
longer relevant. I'm going to resolve this as Not A Problem (after my reverts).
Please feel free to reopen if you like but as Xu points out HBASE-21140 is
already open to do a backport, so we can follow up there if someone wants to
backport this change, and fix it up for Java 7.
