Based on the discussion on the mailing list about the [removal of deprecated
versions|[https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/6abaf9757c515213e530edb4cb80faa6c60007908d448437def77f54@%3Cdev.hbase.apache.org%3E]],
the client API compatibility should be extended to make it clear when a
deprecated API will be removed.
