@Stack, so far, I could not find a good protoc maven plugin. I don't remember I
tried to install it on my Ubuntu.
That's the download site for protobuf compiler:
http://code.google.com/p/protobuf/downloads/list
But for Linux, I think it is easy to install with rpm/apt-get.
