If the latest patch looks good, I was thinking if it would be preferred to
backport just the test case to branch-2 and branch-1? Just in case, if
alter_status is removed/updated due to some cleanup, the test could help catch
it. I believe the reason why this was not caught up so far was due to test case
unavailability.
Although I am not sure if it is really followed to backport just the test case
in general.
