Tried it. Looks promising. Was able to edit column family attributes. Was also
able to add/delete a CF. Let me work on patch and unit tests. Will be back
(might be best to revert parent patch and work from there rather than down here
in sub-issue).
bq. Anyway I think we could make client ask meta state from master, and in
master we just make it always enabled.
I don't follow. I avoided going to master for state because of your previous
feedback around not putting master in the read/write path.
