busbey commented on issue #1338: HBASE-24040 WALFactory.Providers.multiwal causes StackOverflowError URL: https://github.com/apache/hbase/pull/1338#issuecomment-604592543 yeah, plenty of other settings in HBase log a warning and say "I'm using the default because this is busted". We should stick to that here and we can have a conversation after about wether we should fail loud instead.
