A number of reflections were used to access (back in the time) new Hadoop APIs
that were only available in newer Hadoop versions.
Some of them are no longer needed with the default Hadoop dependency 3.1.2, so
they can be removed to avoid the brittle code. Also, makes it possible to
determine compile time dependency.
