I'm seeing some sort of weird behavior where a region(s) stays stuck in
transition if a regionserver gets suspended and then dies ungracefully
mid-transition. It seems like it hangs on
REGION_STATE_TRANSITION_CONFIRM_OPENED forever. It immediately recovers if the
regionserver comes back to life. I haven't tried bouncing the hmaster when in
this state yet.
I need to do a bit more investigation before knowing whether I should log a
jira, but wanted a record here while I dig in.
