RE SingleColumnValueExcludeFilter - then why this issue is a bug again? I 
believe this is the correct behavior (based on the thoughts in my last 
comment). Then one need to include the column is select columns list and use 
SingleColumnValueExcludeFilter.

At the same time (different story/effort) we may want to make this "apply 
filter but not transfer back to user" feature be available in some more generic 
way. May be some filter wrapper or so.
