Archimedes Trajano created HBASE-6609:
-----------------------------------------

             Summary: Startcluster fails on windows (references "ls")
                 Key: HBASE-6609
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-6609
             Project: HBase
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: test
    Affects Versions: 0.94.1
         Environment: Windows 7 64-bit
Eclipse
            Reporter: Archimedes Trajano

When starting up the cluster using

        @BeforeClass
        public static void setUp() throws Exception {
                utility = new HBaseTestingUtility();
                utility.startMiniCluster();
        }

I get the following stack trace under Windows in Eclipse. Note it is looking
for "ls" which is not present under Windows.

java.lang.RuntimeException: Error while running command to get file permissions
: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "ls": CreateProcess error=2, The
