Let me try this patch. It just removes the notion of a 'support_dir'... It
seems unused and Todd says the dir we're copying into doesn't exist (could
figure another place to copy too if was wanted -- for now just doing clean
remove of the facility).
I went back and look at hadoop, the place this script came from. It has the
support_dir thing going on.... so it looks like we inherited it from there way
back.
