Restricting a Scan or Get to projected qualifiers may drop a sparse HBase row
when those qualifiers are absent, even though the row has data in other
columns. For example, selecting the row key and a missing qualifier should
return the row with null rather than omit it.
We should first add end-to-end tests for both Scan and Get, then adjust column
pruning to preserve row existence, covering missing qualifiers separately from
present cells with empty values.
