Andrea Gazzarini commented on HBASE-7481:
-----------------------------------------
I tried to reproduce the problem but unfortunately:
* I'm not able to get any problem from mvn site;
* The TestJoinedScanners failure is not deterministic...sometimes fails
sometimes doesn't (at least on my laptop). In addition on my machine the
problem seems to be the lease timeout, while on jenkins is different;
* The findbug warnings are not directly related with the patch and involve
other classes so this shouldn't be the right place where fix them
So, now we have a zombie too :)
Could someone give me a hint about what can I do?

> Currently there is no way to throw custom IOExceptions from any of the filter
> methods.
> For implementers of custom filters that presents a problem.
> For example there are scenarios where the filter would want to indicate to
> the client that there it should not retry. Currently there is no way of doing
> that.
