Thanks for the comments on the review board folks, and sorry about the delay in
getting back. But I am still waiting for the HDFS (HDFS-2576) patch to get
committed. I am hoping that the HDFS side will be resolved soon. Meanwhile,
I'll try and get some performance numbers with hacked up patches for hbase/hdfs
(that assumes that the proposed HDFS API exists).
