Yes, this is definitely important for Phoenix. If we could run without
requiring any server-side jar installation, that would definitely remove one
hurdle. It's not that big a deal for a dev environment, but as soon as it's
production, getting a new jar installed on all region servers is like rolling a
1 ton rock up hill for a few miles.
