Maybe it's an "improvement", not a "Bug", [~aoxiang], right ?
In our internal version, we are designing a compaction load awareness feature,
which is similar with your idea.
But if you just want to throttle, maybe it's easier seem to me:)
+1 on your idea, it's pretty important for production operation:) btw, i made
a compaction shell switch in HBASE-7875, it's somehow helpful, though looking
stupid, needs some guys to fire it manually:)
