My interpretation of mutability for CompoundConfiguration is that once 
mutableConf is materialized, we can deep merge existing list of 
ImmutableConfigMap into mutableConf.
Subsequent calls to addXXX() would merge the config entries of the method 
parameter into mutableConf.
This way, we have good control of memory footprint for CompoundConfiguration 
instances in long running cluster.
