Thanks JD for the reference. I think you are right that they have the same
symptoms. However, I really do not like the approach of not caching the blocks
in HBASE-6479, which seems to me as a hack around this bug. Also, v2 hfiles use
the same synchronizing logic for meta blocks, so we might have to fix that as
well.
bq. Is it possible to find out what type of cached block caused the above
exception ?
Unfortunately, the logs does not contain it.
