This probably needs more thought.
It normalizes some existing logging, removes some essentially duplicate
logging, adds logging for network requests and DN transactions (might be a bit
excessive at info by default, some config setting or default logging settings
could be used to silence it), as well as 2 features off by default - server
socket timeout, and ability to execute "add partitions" statement in a separate
transaction per partition instead of an epic transaction. The latter could
probably be extended to drop table (to drop partitions one by one; assuming the
user doesn't care for half-dropped table if he's dropping it anyway).
