This is more of a debugging patch that logs the timestamps for test start and
end. Also reduces the split size so that small number of tasks are spun up
reducing the overall time. One more change is to add query timeout so that
SQLTimeoutException is thrown before junit timeout (this makes sure to log the
WM events via hooks, also the end time of test case).
