Oh...I see...I think it would have been beneficial to file a separate jira
about moving the hcat serde to the main serde package prior to submitting the
streaming ticket...so that it could get better reviews...but that ship have
sailed - users will eventually learn that there are 2 jsonserde's on the 3.x
line :P
I'll update my patch to not rename&move the "new" serde2.JsonSerDe to
anywhere...but it will retain that hcat serde relies on the serde2 version - so
the code is not duplicated that much...this seems to me the best move right
now... - and remove the hcat version for 4.0 in HIVE-19901

Oh my...I think we should at least try not to advertise
"./serde/src/java/org/apache/hadoop/hive/serde2/JsonSerDe.java"...because it
doesn't follow the package structuring conventions around there - and its name
is really problematic; because there is a class with the same name in a
different package...or hive users are good in dodging things like this?
Who would be using it anyway...its not used only internally?
